Public Education Week

Our Open Classrooms, Book Fair and Book Parade as part of Public Education Week were a fantastic celebration of our students and staff and the strong sense of community that helps shape our learning environment.

100 Days Brighter for our Kindergarten Students

Our amazing OSPS Kindergarten students celebrated 100 days successful days of learning, growth and new friendships. We are so proud of everything our Kindergarten students have achieved this year.

NAIDOC Day Celebration

Date: Thursday 2nd July 2026

Our school proudly celebrated this year's NAIDOC Day theme, 50 Years Deadly, reflecting on the strength, resilience and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. A special assembly featured the Muggi Dancers, opening our celebrations in a meanigful and powerful way. Students then engaged in a range of classroom workshops, sharing in language, stories and cultural knowledge. Indigenous games also provided students with a fun and active way to deepen their understanding of culture.

Far North Coast Dance Festival

Our OSPS Dance troupes showcased three spectacular performances on the stage at Twin Towns Tweed Heads. This was a fabulous opportunity for our students to perform on a professoinal stage in front of family and friends. They were a credit to themselves and their school and they should be proud of their dedication and hard work.

Fancy Hat Parade

From fantastically fancy and terrifically tall to creative, quirky, ocean-themed, and beautifully sustainable - we truly had it all! Our annual Fancy Hat Parade was a wonderful event as each class proudly paraded their creations, topped off with a special appearance from the Easter Bunny.

Colour Fun Run

Volunteers Morning Tea

Date: Friday 28th November

Time: 8.30 - 9.30 am

Our valued school volunteers are invited to join us at OSPS for a morning tea to thank them for their dedication to our school.

Whether it be getting your hands dirty in our school garden, helping out in our school canteen, or assisting in organising school fundraising events, you hard work and generosity is appreciated!

P&C Meeting

Date: Tuesday 2nd December

Time: 6.00 - 8.00 pm

Join our vibrant P&C.  Meetings are held Week 3 and 7 of every term in the staffroom. Parents and carers are welcome to attend. Child-minding is also available!
